Seamless is excited to announce the long-awaited Genesis Airdrop to participants who have contributed to and utilized the ecosystem!

This blog post aims to provide a high-level overview for airdrop eligibility and how to claim the airdrop.

Introduction — SEAM & the Seamless Community

SEAM is the fair launch utility governance token of Seamless Protocol. Seamless is the first decentralized, native lending and borrowing protocol on Base, and has rapidly grown to be one of the Top 3 native apps on Base by total volume locked.

With SEAM, the community continues evolving and decentralizing while pursuing its vision to pave the way for modern DeFi.

Introducing the Genesis Airdrop

The Genesis Airdrop rewards users of Seamless Protocol and allows them to determine the future governance of the protocol. As a part of the Genesis Airdrop, 400,000 SEAM tokens will be distributed.

Claim Window

The airdrop claim window will open on December 11th, 2023 at 8PM UTC.

Any eligible airdrop recipients will be able to claim their SEAM tokens for 3 months starting from this time. Any unclaimed tokens after this initial 3 month window will return to the Seamless Community DAO controlled smart contract.

Eligibility

The following activities were used in determination for Airdrop eligibility:

Users who completed social and onchain campaigns that contributed to growth of the community and protocol
