The direction of Seamless Protocol is determined by holders of the SEAM governance token.
SEAM governance token holders may submit proposals, which activate open voting periods if the proper thresholds are passed. During the open voting period, any SEAM holders may cast their votes according to their preferences. If the quorums are achieved, then the results of the vote are automatically queued in timelock contracts to execute the winning outcome 🗳️
Note: In order to activate the voting ability for SEAM, holders must first delegate their votes (either to themselves or other wallet addresses). If delegated to another wallet, the receiving wallet does not receive SEAM tokens, but does receive the voting power of the delegated SEAM.
